A45 engine warning light reset?

Is there a way to reset the engine warning light without having to return to the dealership to see if it comes back on?

A generic OBD reader may be able to. My Torque ap could on the CLS.

Any idea as to why the light is on?

As above; a basic tool will reset simple warnings, but you'll need to pay more to silence something like an SRS error.

The easiest way might be rectifying the problem.
