AA called out, poorly car

I had to call out the AA breakdown after my CLK decided to throw ABS light and then ESP light and then would not come out of park.
AA man checked all brake pads and abs sensors - no problems found.
Had to override the gear selector to get out of park so I could get home.
On the drive home I also noted the power steering was heavier than normal at very slow speed and the speedo was not working but all other gauges were ok.
AA diagnosis was display fault refer to garage :fail
After speaking to Indy it was suggested that the ABS/ESP unit was possibly not communicating and to take it in later in the week as he is busy.

Based on this I decided to check the electrical connections and found some slight corrosion so cleaned this up and then restarted the car to find all warnings gone and gear selector, speedo and power steering working perfect.

I have been for a good drive and the warnings have not returned however I am wondering whether it is still worth taking the car in for diagnosis.

It was in the main connector to the ABS/ESP pump/module
Connector with lots of pins and blade connectors in
