Hello all

Need to replace the front shockers on my 2004 W220 S55 Kompressor.

Apart from the dealers everyone else is being a bit of a pain in helping to get these.

But to cut a long story short - will ABC shockers from an S600 Bi-Turbo fit and work on a S55 Kompressor?

My Indy said the car "wouldnt feel right" for what ever reason :dk: and no where on the internet can i find part numbers that cross.

But the way i see it, both cars are the same shape, weight and power. So what could be the difference?

Thanks

Not on the W211 E55K they're not; the place I got my refurb strut from was very specific in saying that they are different.

Big difference is the 211 is air the 220 is hydraulic.

Can you not get them imported from the US? Or perhaps easier, from Germany?

Talking to Arnott over in the US right now and they seem a bit more helpful.

Are you talking about dealers over in Mercedes or someone else?

Im almost thinking of getting rid of this suspension and going on coilovers instead.

There will be no difference, same parts as w215
