Morning everyone

Im looking to see if someone can explain what the accumulators and pulsation damper do on the ABC suspension. Ive booked it on to have a fluid change and was going to get these chamged at the same time as a metter of cause, in reality i dont know what they do or if i even need them changing. Im on 86,000 miles now.

The pump pumps fluid at around 3000PSI. At that pressure the pulsing of the pump causes aggressive spikes in the pressure. The job of the pulsation is to dampen the spikes on the feed to the damper and the job of the accumulator is to dampen the spikes from the struts on the return. If either fail, you could a blow a hose.

Yep, and a good idea to change them at that mileage. I had one fail and I renewed them all.. 👍
