About to purchase 2003 CLK55 AMG, good deal?

MB shouldn't be retailing a car under the approved scheme without a full MBSH.

+1

It's one of the things I'd expect, although may not actually be a requirement of being sold as approved.

Edited to add:

Your Mobilolife ("Mobilo") cover is dependent upon a complete service history at main dealers, in line with the schedule. Without it then the benefits of Mobilo will be lost.

Take care though as the salesman might reassure you that you have Mobilo breakdown - which strictly true whilst you have the Tier 1 warranty in place (breakdown cover comes with it) - but afterwards it will be lost, and will not be reinstated.

Trust your gut, it is usually right!

If only I took my own advice! :wallbash:

I can't quite understand the issue here. The car is being sold by a MB Dealer with Tier 1 and its at a good price with 3 services stamps. Any issues after purchase and the warranty covers it (Covers everything). If you like the car it seems like an easy choice to me.

Whats the alternative - Private/Indie with no or lesser warranty with 4 stamps......I know which I'd go for.

Tier 1 is the top warranty ... as good as the one you get with new cars. Tier 2 is a 'cut down' version for higer mileage vehicles (over 60k miles?).

it was over 60K, now tier 1 covers up to 100K!

regd the SH, get the service print out and get the dealer to sort the missing service stamp out for you, they will give you a certificate for milage etc, i wouldnt worry too much...
