Hi Guys.

I have a faulty abs ecu and require a replacement.

The part number is A1705450132. Its the ecu that bolts onto the abs pump.

My car is a 2002 CLK200k. Chassis number. WDB2083442T121056.

Any one got one or any ideas where I can get a second hand one?

Would also like to know what other part numbers are compatible. I have a friend who can get me an ecu but the last six numbers are the same but the first 5 digits are different. Would it be compatible?

That may be a coded part, so have a word with MB to find out for sure before you buy a used one.

I have been told that it isn't coded but would like to know if that's 100% accurate.

Check with MB to see if the ecu is coded, otherwise you risk wating both time and money.

I would stake what little reputation I have on the other part with the different number not being suitable.

Talked to merc dealer today and they said a replacement will have to be coded. This isn't a problem because a friend has access to "Star". This module is proving harder to find than I thought. Dealer wants more money than I would ever pay so a second hand unit is the only option or I will try and sell my car.

I have a 12 year old bottle of whiskey as a reward if someone can get there hand on the elusive ecu.

If they're coded, then used ones are usless, as they'll be coded.

Hi again. Today I went to see the guy who diagnosed the fault with my clk and he told me the ecu isn't coded to the car and has changed a few for other customers. I will have to go with the guys word and not the guy a MB parts desk who didn't seem very sure about anything I asked him.

So I am still on the hunt.:(
