i have the abs/esp/ run flat inoperative warning. also cruse not working. cant seem to find what the fault
is.i changed pads , i may clean the sensors on the wheels, maybe disconnect battery i have code 6560 w169 cdi
thanks

could have disturbed an ABS sensor or wire while changing pads?

I had the same issue, turned out to be the battery not providing the correct voltage. Still had the original battery in an 8 year old car.

Local indi checked the code and said the ESP controller had failed and need replacing at £800

Brake switch gave BAS/ESP warnings on our a-class recently (brake lights still worked) as it is a dual switch which sends a signal to the ECU.

If all was OK before the pad change then I'm with Joesoap on this. it's rather too easy to disturb the wheel speed sensors. Make sure they're fully seated in the hub and their wiring is properly located to stop them working loose in the future.

many thanks to all for the useful advice, i will try the tips and let you know:wallbash:
