Hi, My C280 started as normal this morning but after travelling a few hundred yards and making a left turn the ABS and ESP warning lights came on. After a re-start everything was normal again and was so for the rest of the journey into work. It's never happened before although it did do it once when the car wasn't used for about 6 weeks, which I put down to low battery voltage through non-use, even though the car turned over quickly as always. Is it "just one of those things" or is it a sign something's going to need attention soon, maybe a dirty sensor ?
Views please.

Replying to my own question here ! From reading other bits & bobs here, seems like the brake switch is a likely contender or maybe less likely a wheel sensor (the auto locking still works).

Had the same fault on my clk230, to which everytime the abs/esp light came on the brake lights would also just stay on too!!

It turned out to be the Brake switch. Had to have MB fit one for me
which came too £78.00 inc vat and fitting!!! arghh!!

Thanks for this reply. If it happens again I think I'll just replace the brake light switch myself as others have done.

Looking at Euro Car Parts website and also Inchcape, seems there are 2 part numbers for brake light switch although on Inchcape both parts appear to look identical. Anyone know which is correct for a 2000 C280 V6 ?
