ABS Warning light on

Just aquired a190E 1993, the ABS light is on.
Where would I start to look to check for faults?
Brakes appear fine.

Start by cleaning the ABS sensors. Remove them, and clean the contacts.

One on each front wheel, and either one on each rear wheel or one on the diff.

thanks wobbly, i'll try that, will they be easy to recognise? never seen the brake sensors at the wheels before.

OP should check the charging circuit as an undervoltage condition will cause the ABS indicator to illuminate....

have you got a brake light switch up the pedals?
