Accelerator peddle wobbly

Hi all,

I have am ML270 CDI 04 plate that i recently purchased. I was giving it a good clean on the inside as i dont think the previous owners cleaned it in the 3 years they owned it! I found that the accelerator pedal has alot of movement from side to side. Has anyone has a similar issue before? If so can anyone please recommend a fix for it or does it need a replacement part?

if it helps I think its a known issue on an ML. My ML320 2000 did the same. Should be an easy google fix.

Thanks very much I should have done that before hand. Found a thread on here also which state the fix, about £23 odd for a new pedal.

I seem to recall that adjustment of the accelerator pedal is a scheduled service item on the ML.

Funny you mention that. I called my local MB dealers yesterday for a replacement part to see how much they charge and they had no idea there was a common problem with them or if there was a fix for it. Good service department huh! With that sort of service i doubt they would have checked it ever if a ML goes in for a service. Saying that they are a bunch of nice guys there, but i guess not very clued up on their cars.
