Accelerator

When i accelerate the rev counter deosnt go over 2 for some time then suddenly goes up. Before it has a smooth movement when I accelerated. I already have put cataclean 5 days ago. It has not improved the suituation. Please advise. Thanks

Are you saying that the engine revs but the rev counter sticks? If the engine does not rev beyond 2000 and then accelerates after you have put more pressure on the accelerator pedal then I would suspect the MAF, I had a very similar problem with a cheap MAF off of ebay.

Yes the engine doesnt rev beyond 2000 and then I have put more pressure on the accelrator pedal. Yep u r probably right on the MAF. I took it to garage . The guy said It could be the maf sensor but the fault code they r getting was the DPF was blocked. I'll bring it in on Tuesday and they will try it out again for a day or so

Blocked dpf could well cause that problem but the car will go into limp mode if they try and remove it so they won't learn anything, i would think they are going to either clean it or replace it unless its a faulty pressure sensor which i have seen a few of lately

I accelerated today. It works well. It's always on / off.
