Accident On A3, 8/8/05

There was a nasty 4-car shunt on the A3 northbound near the Hook underpass last night (8/8/05). 3 of the cars were Mercs! A new S class, a previous-shape E class estate with a W203 estate in between. At the very front a BMW 3 series was very slightly damaged.
My commisserations if one of the Mercs was you!!
Luckily the safety cells seemed to have done their job. It would be nice to blame the BMW driver, but I guess that if you hit the car if front, 9 times out of 10, you were driving too close!

I guess its very difficult to look at a BMW through the gunsight on the front of a Merc and not want to ram it off the road

I wonder what the odds are for three vehicles of the same make being involved in a four car 'incident' are? (Mustn't forget Plodd's very true remarks)
