Aclass 2006 audio upgrade query :)

Hi all, can anyone tell me if the mercedes Be7036 unit from a E220 with the number :A2118702604001 , will fit a 2006 Aclass and if so what apart from the unit will i need .

It looks like NTG2.5 Audio 50 with APS, but no, it will not fit W169 - it's definitely a different shape, plus the car won't recognise it, as far as I know.

These are just samples, plenty of each type on eBay and elsewhere.

Depending on your current setup - MOST (fibre optic) or not; amplifier; subwoofer, etc, etc you will need either a conversion kit (from comandonline.com) or a professional install ...

No it wont. You need to find part numbers beginning with A169...

Besides the correct NTG2.5 unit for the W169, you will also need a mic, BT antenna and change to the wiring loom to get the power to the radio antenna.

Obviously you will also need a Sat Nat antenna and recode your car with Star to enable the Sat Nav function on your dash.

Keep an eye on eBay for W169 NTG 2.5 as I have picked up these units for around £350 with the cheapest unit costing only £250 due to the buyer accepting a lowish offer due to a very quite period on eBay.
