Active bonnet reset on 2014 E250 coupe?

Hi, I have recently bought a 2014 E250, it has previously been in an accident (over a year ago) and does have some issues (though I'm not sure if they are from the accident or just poor ownership)

Active Bonnet reset: I get the active bonnet message. The hinges etc lie flat so looks like physically it is ok but how do I reset the message or does it need resetting or is there still an issue?
Just wondering if it has been activated in the past if the bonnet needs to be physically reset but the message also needs to be reset in star or something similar and of so is there any diy diag device I can use?

I have a 2009 E250 with active bonnet warning after the actuators were activated. I think they were not reset correctly. Do i need to replace the actuators. Have you gotten any help with this?
