Hi all,
My dads W211 220 CDI is due a service soon.
It has option 581 fitted so it has Thermotronic Climate Control with the extra climate control's for the rear passengers.
I am a bit confused looking in the service booklet stating Dust Filter and Charcoal filter, does my car have a standard Active Charcoal Cabin/Pollen Filter or does it have a "normal" filter and another separate charcoal filter?
I've emailed a MB Dealer and they have stated that my car only has a Cabin filter but didn't delve into any further.
I've also emailed All German Parts and the very helpful chap called Jason came back with this:
"I have checked the parts on official Mercedes Benz Electronic Parts Catalogue and produced a quote for the Mahle filters based on the information therein. It would seem strange but correct that the car has a standard paper type cabin filter rather than a carbon version. Mercedes EPC does give a number for carbon but I am informed this is for left hand drive only and that they are different shape"
I have no reason to doubt what both the MB Dealer and Jason at All German Parts have said, I just want extra clarification from you guys if possible
Many thanks
