Adaptive main beam stopped working

Yes I know but why give us the option of an auto system that doesn't work at slow speeds?
I have Adaptive High Beam on my Lexus RX and in the tech docs for the system it differentiates between the Europe and ROW countries. In the Europe the system only operates above ~38mph ROW it comes on at speeds above ~15mph. I asked my dealer if the system could be coded to operate at the lower speed, he enquired with Lexus UK and was told it was a legal requirement. Seems the EU still holds sway ... Can only guess at the EU's logic :dk:

There are several different flavours of adaptive main beam - our 2019 W205 has "Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus", and that activates partial or full main beam above 15 mph (25 kph) when there's no street lighting. Ultra Range Highbeam becomes active at 25 mph (40 kph).
We have the same feature on the car and the van. I think it’s wonderful. The way it ‘black boxes’ the vehicles ahead so as not to dazzle them blows my mind. Incredible feature.

Really highlighted in slightly misty conditions, fascinating watching the changing shadows!

Absolutely Peter. I believe the Matrix (Audi) and Adaptive (BMW) are equally awesome. Great technology that’d leave our grandparents gobsmacked. ‘It’s witchcraft I tell you!!!’

Our Vito has '70s tech halogen headlights ... bit of a shock after driving the C Class :D
