I got the AdBlue Warning this morning on my way to work:

"Adblue Top up Adblue, see Owners Handbook"

My handbook is at home, :doh:does anyone know the leeway/mileage/Ltrs left? As in do I need to fill it up before going home (50 odd Miles):dk:

Certainly more than 50 miles, possibly nearer 1000, but I wouldn't bank on that! It will keep running, even if the tank is empty, just won't restart if you stop it.

It gives progressive warnings before not letting you drive. Supposed to be 1000 miles but you can get adblue at Halfords, She’ll Garage’s, pretty much anywhere. It should tell you the range if you look in the service menu. Bottom one when you press the home button. There is a sub menu adblue that gives range

Halfords seem to have become sensible with their pricing now. Most of the Megs detailing products etc are the same price as amazon/eBay

Good call, filling up with 1,2 or 3 litres after the warning is not enough to allow the engine to start again.

Pussled regarding your statement, I bought 10 Ltrs but only put in around 4 Ltrs as I have a BO Servicing in 2000 miles!

You've been lucky, it tells you in the handbook that just adding a few litres will not allow the engine to start. Maybe the warning will come back pretty quick?

I didn't have the Engines no Start Warning only the add AdBlue, and no warnings since the system measured and showed the new level! Hand Book hints that the warning is set at around 3 Ltrs, so I now have approx 7 Ltrs, I will keep an eye on it!

Just be careful not to spill any.
That stuff make a horrible mess if spilled as it chrystalises.

My Main Dealer managed to spill it all over the lower boot trim on my CLS.

Jeez! Unlucky! Did they clean it up ok or has it left a 'stain' on the boot trim?

The dealer wanted me to take the car in for valeting but I didn’t trust them so I removed the trim and washed it myself.

Bad marks to the dealer, if you pardon the pun.

Given the cost of £11 for 10l I'd have tipped the lot in, assuming the tank holds that much.

I don't have a vehicle with AddBlue but out of interest is there any feeling as to quality variation between brands/manufacturers?

What is the AddBlue tank capacity on W212?

Not sure but the C250 tank holds 23 litres.

I doubt it, it’s just aqueous urea solution.

Aqueous Urea ? didn't I see them on the Old Grey Whistle test some years ago ? 'Whispering' Bob Harris thought they were 'super'

Hello this is my first post!

I have been having a bit of nightmare with my car ever since it went into my local dealer for its first ever service.
First thing I noticed (only after getting home) is that I now get a parking sensor alarm every time I start the car - the system then switches itself off. But after a few minutes of driving all works fine. The senors also work fine, auto park etc once the alarm has cleared. I tried getting it booked back in straight away but it took 3 days of calling to get a new appointment. Next 2 days after the parking sensor 'fault' I now have an engine management amber warning lamp on all the time, and last night I now have an Adblue range warning. As the car has done less than 8k miles and they apparently topped up the Adblue at the service - makes me think these are all phantom faults and someone mucked up when resetting the service warning. Either way I am very disappointed with level of service I have had so far. I'll update how it goes tomorrow - hopefully its will be a 10 mins with someone tapping at a laptop.

I have never had a service before when a car goes in with zero faults and comes back with 3 (so far) - and for years I was an Alfa owner - when this kind of thing never happened.

It looks like I need a new parking sensor and NOX? for the engine. It seems a bit unbelievable that these faults didn't show up until I drove away from the garage after the service. Faults still not fixed but the car has to go back in again next week.

Silly questions, but as I will be on back from holiday tomorrow (1300 miles one way) and my service is overdue 2 days now, but booked for service next week friday.. What cars take adblue now? Certainly not all of them, right? I'm absolutely not aware of any adblue on my cls350 cdi car..
