There are 2 posts regarding this. In my country ADblue was adopted fairly late so most of us never had this problem until late 2018 Daimler cars arrived. Since you asked the same question in May of this year.

To address your point: ADBLUE any difference and when to fill it | Parts, Maintenance & Servicing
Any petrol station ADblue would suffice according to this post.

I'll quote another post which states the procedure to refill, and drain piped based on the tank design of ADblue.

Good luck.

Thanks for the answer, i did wait and have the car serviced to let them add it, when i checked it, it was only half full as when i took it in, so back in i go and say they have not topped up the addblue and was told its not a serviceable item  not over impressed with that, but hey thats me. So i was going to top it up myself (i'm handy like that). BUT now reading the links you kindly put up, someone says don't put it in till it tells you as it crystallises if you keep topping up. So it looks like i leave it till it tells me to put it in, does that seem right ? Thanks for your reply.

Indeed. I personally don't own any diesel apart from a pre ad blue era. Since 2018 is when it was incorporated in India.

These are the following options I would incorporate if I purchase another diesel, but I won't ever purchase another diesel.

The only thing I did was to install physical kit to block the EGR, and opt for a software deletion tune. 5000 Indian rupee for deletion, 18000 for the hardware kit. Inexpensive and worth it. Labor on the hardware was inclusive of the part and software cost.

Risky but try this as well: Mercedes Euro 6 AdBlue Emulator

At your own risk try this: AdBlue System Delete - MBWorld.org Forums

Thanks for putting them up, but with the multi million pound development of these cars i don't think i am brave enough to try such a thing, if the car was 15 years old that is a different matter, but seems like dancing with the devil. Mine all works perfectly fine just reading on here can put the willies up me a bit, but you have to remember its only peoples problems we read about not when they are happy. Thanks.

You're welcome.
Most people with this arrangement are from under a decade and no less. I haven't seen a 15 year old AdBlue tank yet. But it is what it is.
Your choice.
Good luck to you. That's all for now.

Hi , well according to Mercedes UK my petrol engine car requires add blue tank to be filled toped up at every service.

On the cars third service a tick is shown confirmed that this has has taken place.

So much for the electronic service sheet.

Makes you wonder what other services they have not done / missed.

That's quite some task.

Isn’t adblue only used on diesel vehicles?
edit: I just realised what you meant

Was this an MB dealer? Or independent specialist?

There's not a single workshop or dealership I visited, where they have not cheated us with some nonsense way to make money. I'm yet to come across a honest person in this world. I know one Home AC technician, but that's about it.

Contradictory statements......?

It was where i bought the car from, a good dealer not MB but you would have thought that seeing as i supplied the oil and filters and sump plug, so as i know what is going in it, a bit of addblue would not have killed them, but hey it was in with the deal when i purchased it, so it wont be going back there in future.

When I got my last V W Tiguan the dealer filled it up with adblue every time it needed it for 3 yrs free

its a year since i bought the car and have done 3k miles and its still half full, i think its best to wait till it says top it up? but could be mistaken about that?

I bought 2 10 ltr drums (20 ltrs ) last week / make was redex £19 for 20 ltrs in Screwfix.
