Hi guys,

I have a W203 C180 non kompessor which i recently redone the head and i now have to reassemble.

I would like to add a kompessor as well while everything is still open and have the following Q&A's:

1: Will my M111951 sub assembly and head cope with the addition on a kompessor?
2: Will my newly purchased stock head gasket handle the extra compression?
3: Will my current ECU fuel correctly.
4: What other hardware parts will i need.
5: Is it better to just a used C180K motor.

I personally would source a complete 180K engine. N/A engines have higher compression ratio than the S/C engines. I've no clue if ECU on these cars is configurable enough to get the extra fuelling done. When my N/A 55 was supercharged it had an old type ME2.0 ECU which was remapped with bigger injectors. That resulted in a very flat top end, caused by underfuelling. Secondary fuel pump + stock ECU and stock injectors took care of that so you might want to factor in an extra pump and piping. You will most probably need a bigger intercooler and a bigger water pump too (Johnson or Davies Craig are both good makes).

Afaik there are no supercharged 1.8L M111:s so if you source a complete engine might as well get a 2.0 or 2.3 L engine complete with supercharger.

Replacing the engine with an M271 would require changing a large bit of the electrical system.

To not have to muck with DAS (Driver Authorization System) you could try to use your current ECU but have a knowledgeable company remap it for your new hardware. _may_ need one step larger injectors, check the bosch(?) numer on your current ones and see how much they can flow. There are kits to up the fuel pressure if it's tight.

Oh, you need boost control as well, but any electrical boost control should be able to mod on... i guess.
