Adding iPhone Support to R230 SL350

Having been on the dark side (BMW 6 series convertible) for the last couple of years I have returned to MB for my 'fun' car with a 2009 SL350 - I had a 2004 SL500 before the 635.

The car has all the options I wanted except for a comfort phone installation and media adaptor.

The car has bluetooth as part of the NTG2.5 so I can use my iPhone 4 just fine at the moment. However I want to be able to charge it and benefit from an external aerial to boost the signal - as I got used to this feature in the BMW.

A quick bit of Googling suggests I can do it with these two items from Comand Online - http://www.comandonline.co.uk/R230-SL-Comfort-Phone.html and http://www.comandonline.co.uk/Mercedes-iPhone-4-4s-Phone-cradle-without-cable.html

This will set me back £400+ for the bits alone.

Does anyone know how difficult and therefore how much this is likely to cost to fit ? Any hints and tips ?

I also thinki I can charge the iPhone by fitting a UHI media kit and having a free cable to plug into. Again has anyone tried this as a refrofit ?

Any help , tips or horror stories gratefully received ...
