adding remote locking/unlocking to w124 (1990)

hi all

fancied a little less work when opening the ecar ( ha ha ) so decided to add a keyless system to my 1990 w124 .

Now having searched the web and taken all i can find in i started the job this morning and i'am fastly going no where.

I have wired up the control unit as per the attached diagram ( using the bottom config ) and attempted to get it to work after cutting the yellow wire on the round connector on the compressor and joining it into the config.

sometimes the doors may lock then quickly unlock or maybe they dont sometimes. I checked for voltage and have 12v on all 3 wires in the round connection when locks are open and 0v when locks are closed.


has anyone here installed a similar unit and if so how did the get it working ?

ok quick update found a reference to a jumper on the contol module and it was set to elect and not air. So I snipped the yellow and joined teh 2 halves up to the control unit wire and moved jumper and now locking / unlocking as normal.

however the system autolocks after a couple of seconds and the alarm is active any idea's
