Adjust boot latch aka making it so you don't have to slam it?

Hi,

My boot requires a bit of a slam to get it to close - I think it takes most people 3 times to get it to shut before the smack it a bit too hard.

Today I adjusted the boot springs so that it doesn't open so violently, or require as much force to slam down.

But I realised that the problem is more that it still needs a bit of a slam to get the boot to 'latch' and stay closed. It's not a huge deal, but it does require a good slam to get it to close.

Is there a way to adjust the latch or bump stops something to get it to latch more easily?

I tried spraying some silicone grease into the boot latch but it didn't make any difference.

Cheers!

Not sure, however, most rubber stops screw up or down to enable adjustments to be made.

Mines the same, hope you can find the solution.

Hi guys,

I wonder if it's just a matter of adjusting (tightening) the bump stops? Mine were a bit loose.

Kind of don't want to mess with them, though, in case of any weird alignment stuff. Will probably have a fiddle tomorrow though!

Cheers,

Ed
