Adjust Steering Wheel on a 1995 SL280

There does not appear to be any way of adjusting the Steering Wheel Position on my 1995 SL280.
Is this correct or is there some method that I don't know about.
The owners handbook that I have suggests that there is a switch on the steering column but on my car there is no such switch.

Mine has a small switch under the steering column, up and down, in and out.

That's correct, the only method for adjustment on 129 columns was electrical. The 500 had this as standard but it would have been an option on the 280.
