Hi guys so I have found out that the front shocks can be adjusted to alter ride height of the car via a locking ring under the spring cup. Can I assume the higher you raise the cup the lower the car will be? Ie shortening the length of spring? I understand that the spring and shock will need removed prior to adjustment but was wondering what to set locking ring at thanks

Hi guys had a quick look tonight and it looks like top 3 bolts then 1 bolt through arm and thats it? Should i place a jack under the arm whilst removing lower bolt?

I've recently changed the springs on an E320CDi. The lower bolt needs removed before loosening the top three then the lower arm has to be forced down about an inch before swinging the unit out to the rear. Not as easy as it sounds. When re-assembled the lower main bolt should not be tightened fully until the weight of the car is on the wheel. I have zenons on mine and removed the link to the levelling switch on the O/S in case it got over-strained.
I'm not sure if that's necessary but I did it anyway.

So the answer to your 'is a jack reqd?' is no! :D
