I've just tried that and can't get it to work..
Word won't let you save as a .pdf file
Strange - I can create PDFs from OpenOffice 2 on my personal laptop, and I haven't installed any extra PDF-creating software or plugins. That version must be well over 12 months old - maybe even 2 years?I was fairly sure "Writer" in the Open Office suite does not support writing a PDF, which I confirmed by opening it to try. However, it is currently updating and the new version may.
You need Adobe Acrobat Pro - additionally, you need to make sure that the pdf's are not password protected.
Adobe have introduced Acrobat Standard - a halfway between Pro and the Reader, still allows editing - dished out free (full not trial) with current Sony Vaios.
