Hi all hope you are all well, been a while since ive posted a thread.however i would appreciate some advice on purchasing a cls/cl55 amg kompressor. I have around £13000 to spend. What do i need to look out for? Are the superchagers reliable,( belts) etc i do aprreciate the running costs (fuel/insurance etc) but want to know are they a every day useable car without giving regular problems.. Any help would be appreciated. I do like the benefit of the cls having 4 doors but also like the looks of the cl.

Touche. Am also in the market for one of these.

Cls

I too looked at several cls 04/05/06 but found lack of good size boot an off put hence I stayed with estate make sure to check front suspension as weight up front takes its toll two 04s I checked were in need of major overhaul 55amg is very strong unit ,belts reasonable in price and simple to change GEN mb only my e55 spends most of time on French motorways
Found cls a bit claustiphobic low roof etc but are a good looking motor do search on forum for probs good luck enjoy power :):):)

Hi,the earliest cls came on a 54 plate & for your budget you might just get an early cls55k higher mileage but as always check the history & extra scheduled items(brake fluid,atf/filter change, spark plugs,air/fuel filters)have been changed as in service book.Contrary to the reply above the cls has one of the largest boots of any mb in it's size range(you can easyly fit 2 large suit cases + travel bags).Test drive both cars but the cl is not as modern or reliable as the cls imho.
