Hi All,

I'm going to change the front and rear brake pads on my 14 plate e250.
On the front calipers there is a spring that goes under a plate with mercedes written on it.
Does that plate have to be removed to release the spring or does it stay in place?

Thanks

From what i just seen on you tube .its 1 bolt top and bottom and the whole caliper comes off . Push pistons back fit new pads refit caliper pump pedal.

It's the clip underneath the brake pad I was looks by for advice on

You'll know when you get there. If the clip is in contact with the pads or holding something that is, it will likely be removed during pad removal.

You won't be removing the caliper and if it's the sliding type (probable) removal of one bolt and swinging half the caliper enables pad access. Twin piston calipers are usually a straightforward removal of retaining pin(s) and withdrawal of pads.
