Advice on R171 SLK asap please

Going to take a look at a 2005 R171 shortly - what are the main things to look for please?

I have the VIN - if I recall the MB service history can be interrogated using it. Anybody have the relevant link please?

Hmm - came up for me WDB1714422F026392 Mercedes-Benz SLK-CLASS 2002 - VinDecoderz.com is a free VIN number lookup and vehicle history report provider

Ha! MB's own reg to VIN decoder came up with WME1714422F026392... Typical

Using WDB... works fine and agrees with your decode..

I saw a car for sale a few months back in Moston. As I work with a Mancunian, I asked him what it's like (being of the opinion buy the area, as well as buy the seller).

"Pretty grim" was his reply, but he qualified this with "but so's most of Manchester"..

I've put it on your other thread, but I'll say it again here. Drive in company to something like Barton Grange garden centre up the A6 for lunch with the tops down? Feel free to say you have other plans! L

Parts of it were interesting. Saw a fair percentage of people wearing pyjamas..... lol

Salesguy seemed sound and very relaxed - no pressure games. He just gave us the key and said to take it for a spin. We promptly got lost and had to call him for directions back
