None of them are deep scratches i.e. red paint isn't broken but you can feel some of them with your fingernail.

Probs need a serious amount of cutting with a dual action polisher / respray if the scratches are too deep. Or just close the bonnet and forget about it I guess mr mechanic has just launched it upside down at one point across the garage floor. Sounds like a dealership 'master technician'

End result was good. Those scratches do look deep though. However it is already broke so if you break it even more and go through the paint then i guess a respray was the worst option from the start
