Advice on Wind Deflector on 2013 and 2014 SL350 AMG sport models

Hi ,

I have test driven both a 2013 and 2014 SL530 AMG Sport cars, but on the 2013 the Wind deflector was automatically raised when the hood went down as I would have expected.

On the 2014 model the wind deflector had to be manually pulled up! This was not expected and on the 2014 model I would have expected this to have been electrically operated. I was told by the salesperson that all MB SL 350 now had to be manually operated! I know this is not the case but I would like to know if the wind deflector on the 2014 model was faulty or has this now changed in being manually operated and for the price over £38K, I would have expected it be electrically operated.

I also noticed that the storage box behind the passenger seat was just a shelf and not a storage box whereas a normal storage box was behind the driver seat.

The electric wind deflector on our 2015 SL400 was an option (which we added).

I think it was the same on the 350's.

In ours the box behind the passenger seat is storage, the drivers side is full of gubbins for the car (electrics I think).
