Hi all
I've fitted a kenwood single din cd player to my w204 2009 bit cant find any FM stations why
Anyone know if I need a amplifier
Cheers

There will already be an antenna amp inside one of the pillars, there shouldn't be need for another.

Check the settings in the unit to be sure you have the correct region, not sure how much the wrong region would affect though.

The amp is powered by the blue wire, check to see if it has the +12 volts when the HU is on. Even if not though I would still expect you to pick up a strong station like Radio 2, even if still poor reception.

The core wire within the coax is v small and can break at the plug. Inserting another antenna might help eliminate that as a cause. Even a length of wire can do it.

Does the original radio still work well on FM is reinstalled.
That would eliminate a broken wire and point to the loss of 12 volts on the blue.

Hi yes the old radio works perfect on radio
So if that's the case do I need to connect blue wire to +12v
Is the blue the one from the hu where do I connect that to
George

Yes the blue from the HU, but confirm by checking it is only +12 volts when the unit is switched on.
I beleive the car has a blue wire, but it may be different.
The way to check would be to re instal the original HU and see which wire is provided with the 12 volts when that unit is switched on.

Looking on YouTube it's got something to do with the white block
