Affordable haptic / 3d mouse / stylus etc?

Probably one for andy K..

Trying to find a tablet, in 3D - a pen-on-a-stick or similar for doing 3D design work. The cheapest I have found so far is £1,300

Any ideas? Dont necessarily need force feedback..

I've not seen a cheap version that works well and I'm so used to working with a 2D mouse in 3D I can't justify the expense or see any real benefits - after all the monitor is a 2D display.

Takes some time to get use to... and if you decide to get the monitor goggles get a sick bag ready

Used the spaceball in the past, but i'll stick with my 2d mouse too.

Does it have to have the Haptic feedback??

The Phantom seems to be the most popular
