even good makes are known to be MAS killers so better off with your stndard filter!

sorry to spoil your fun there R2D2, ive been tempted in the past with the K&N as ALL my previous cars had K&N`s in them (other halfs mk1 golf still has!).

My car needs more air before looking at tuning it. My last car had better throttle response with a K and N but the MAS went after two years i guess I need a non oiled one. Any one any ideas?

MAS destruction only if you oil the filter, i think, should be ok if you use it dry,

The w124 220 and 320 bosch HFI injection twin cam engines both have a MAS ---MAF whatever its called.

Getting hold of the correct Green Cotton filters is another matter! GC are oiled as well - maybe not to the extent of K&N though...
