Air Bag Deployment - Recall

Did anyone else get a letter in regards to a safety recall for the airbag deployment? I am sure this is the second safety recall I have had on this car

The recall is for 400,000, models affected include the A, B, C, and E-Class, and CLA, GLA, and GLC, built between November 2011 and July 2017.

Parts were on back order when I booked my car in for its 1st service due at end of June.

I had a letter back in Dec/Jan and I'm still waiting for the followup.

Had my initial letter around late November, about the airbag/steering column earthing on my late 2014 C250 Blutec (S205).

I got the follow-up letter recently and it was done while I waited last week.

I had mine done two or 3 weeks ago when I was booked in for something else. The waiting room appeared to be full of people just getting the air bag done.

Got me wondering too. I’ve heard nothing about my 2012 C350 that I bought new.

I don’t think so unless the airbag light is illuminated, anyway better be safe than sorry bud give them a ring and see what they say.

Just checked mine out on the government check site. What is the vehicle's registration number - MOT History

Nothing showing.

There is a USA Mercedes site where you enter your VIN, but it looks like it only applies to USA registered cars. How can I verify if my vehicle is involved in a recall?

Had an advisory letter earlier this year about this, then when I took it in for its annual service in March was told that it wasn't applicable to my car. Just this week received a letter from MB asking me to contact the dealer to arrange an appointment to carry out the modification. Think I might just wait to the next annual service.
