Hi there chaps,
I am new to the forum and have a couple of questions.
My W124 E220 has 77,000 miles from new and mostly all Merc history. I bought it a few months ago when it was cold and have recently tried to get the Air-Con to work and found that it was blowing warm air. It was colder outside than the air-con being switched on.
It could be the system hasn't been regularly used and I am not to hot on Air-con stuff.
How can I check the condensor is working?
Pipes?
Could be simple as a re-gas?
IS there anything else I can check in the system or test myself to see if the system is faulty?
Would I just need to try a re-gas first?
I like to service my car myself and I am hoping to sort this out without any big bills if possible.
----------------------------------
I have noticed that when I start the engine my Oil pressure guage shoots to the top and stays there.
In my old E220 the pressure would be about midway on the gauge and rise and the revs did.
What could be wrong?
Thanks in advance.
Al
