air con!!

Hi there ive had my c32 (w203) for a year now, but ive never used my air con!!on the mercs im guessing when the red light is on its like a standby button, so when its off the air con is on?
Also i if uve just got the climate control on like you do, by turning the aircon on, does it automatically cut the climate control off?
Justy i pressed the aircon on the other day and it just didnt seemed to be making a difference?
Maybe im doing it wrong, so is there anyone out there who knows the correct function??

Which switch is this red LED on ?

The red LED's are lit on the dials when its in auto mode.

I just leave mine in auto throughout the year and just alter the temperature to suit.

on the aircon button on the climate control section it has a tiny red light on the button, that when u press goes on and press again to go off like a stanby button.when its off i believe its on but i i just wanted to know how u switch all the heating off, and just have the aircon so its nice and cold!

Light off and temp set to lowest setting, thats on my 01 w210 with climate and the wifes 01 c320 with i think semi climate but no screen.

as Lynall says, set to Auto, low temp - if it's not cooling you down, I doubt you have any gas
