Air conditioner fitting

Greetings! I have a very strange one for the gurus today...

Is it possible to fit an air-conditioner to a car that doesn't have an air-con? I'm thinking to something fairly... "plain" like a series 110 landie... (or a discovery - possibly even a freelander, but that should have a/c built in!)

Thanks, so I'll budget 1000£ extra (roughly) if I get a 110... So I'm probably not going to get a 110 (though looks-wise, it was my first choice! doh!)
