Air Conditioning not working great!

Hi everyone, i recently took my 270 cdi and had the aircon re-gassed, but it hardly seems to have made any difference. When i turn the air con on and off you can hear a change in the fan speed so i think the electronics seem to be ok.
Any ideas before i consider taking it to the dealer?

Welcome.

It sounds as if the system is leaking or, possibly there may be problems with the compressor not engaging.

Who re-gassed it? Did they hold it under a vacuum for some time to check for leaks and did they inject a leak detection dye?

Rather than a dealer try a proper A/C specialist, not a garage with a re-gassing machine but someone who works on A/C systems in cars for a living.

I took it to ATS who put it on a machine for an hour that tested for leaks, etc. They said it all reported as working fine! I probably will contact a specialist as you said.

Also, if no joy there do you have a local MB Specialist? There are a number of tests that Star can perform to check out various A/C components.

Well it depends where you live look for a air con repairers,a company that only does air con,if you live in Essex maybe use Into Cool at Burnham on Crouch top people they do nothing else,my aircon now is so cold I get frost bite.

I live in Stafford, but there is an independent Merc specialist in Stoke that has decent reviews
