Does anyone use a car dryer? I’ve been looking at the Air Force blaster so that I can avoid rubbing little swirl marks into my car, but I wonder are there better or cheaper options given this is mostly brand. Pet dryers maybe? Anyone got one they are pleased with? opinions much appreciated.

I've always bben worried about which type blanket to wrap the car in each night.

The horror of finding in the morning that the material just isn't soft enough is just too much.

If you want better, just buy the bigger one. I have the crazy 8HP version.

I expect you can find a cheaper dog dryer, maybe look on detailingworld for a suggestion. I started looking, but gave up and bought the Master Blaster. Get a long air hose.

I just drove mine at 37 mph - the water soon blows off...

Get a water filter and rinse the car with the filtered water after washing. No need to dry.
I have their £100 unit and it is perfect.

I think he's poking a little gentle fun at people who worry about how to dry their cars. It's only a car, FFS, not a firstborn child...

I'm sure this was asked previously and a leaf blower was mentioned.

Leaf blower another option. Neighbours are sure you are mad when you get that out.

Truth is when I read the first post I thought it was in humour,
drying a car after it's been out in the rain, or should we stop driving them if rain is forecast and prevent them getting wet.

Getting into discussions on using 8hp machines to pamper a car when far less powerful vacuum cleaners have been forbidden by the all knowing eu isn't for me, but it did come to mind.

Live and let live I say, but I still find blow drying a car funny.

Some do, some don't, some put the details in their signature block; why not? I don't mention my car rinsing technique, though...:)

I could argue that you said "It's only a car, FFS, not a firstborn child".. and yet seem to feel it is important to let everybody know what cars & bikes you have/had whereas, the OP asked about drying his car and I provided some constructive advice!

The OP didn't say anything about it being out in the rain:p.....some people are more fussy than others - to me, a car covered in swirls marks scratched into the paint looks terrible...

I don't mind washing my car but hate drying it which is why I got a water filter......& my neighbours do shake their heads when I bring out the leaf blower  to remove the excess water before the car goes into the garage.

W/o realising it I'm just disguising my envy,
after all I haven't even relisted my daily drive as the 2006 Vito, that wouldn't show any swirls in the paintwork as they would blend into the general state of the matt finish.

And far worse I don't even need a drier for my hair since the day I was driven at 37mph in a convertable and it all blew off.

You seem to feel it is important to let everybody know that your car is an 'AMG Line'....

I'm with M80; I too find the notion of blow-drying a car faintly ridiculous. Not very, just faintly. It's only a car...

Looooool. I wish I’d never asked! And just for the record was only considering it cos if I don’t dry my car it looks worse than before I cleaned it with the water round here. If I do dry it I’m scratching fook out of it somehow. I only asked....
