Air pump for Contour Seats (A207)

My comfort seats did not work in my 2011 E350.
I found the problem to be the white plastic valve under the front passenger seat had broken
It took ages to find but eventually I found it due to a slight hiss coming from under the seat
This valve controls both seats airflow
The valve clips into the hardware under the seat
I ordered a new valve (about £5) which had been updated to metal fitted this and hey presto comfort seats fixed
I have attached photos showing temporary fix

That’s very useful info and many thanks. I’ll check mine are all in order. Incidentally, did you hear the pump running when you had this leak and where your pump was located?

I remember fixing one of these about a decade ago on a w211, basically the motor in the pump has this eccentric looking fan piece it spins and is made of a plastic material that resembles Bakelite, that cracks a falls to bits. I collected all the pieces, superglued them together, took it my metal engineering mates, they recreated the shape with an aluminium billet perfectly, connected it back to the motor, worked a treat.

From memory I found info that said pull the fuse to reset pump

Never found or even looked for pump so not sure if it was running (but it must have done)

Again from memory found valve under seat and blocked one end of broken plastic valve and hey presto both seats pumped up

I think that I kept the broken valve and bought 2 new fittings

I will try and find and post photos of old and new valve

See attached photo
The white end of plastic valve had sheared
The metal valve took some finding
I eventually found PFS who were fantastic in sourcing the part from Germany
