For any of you chaps that hav'nt seen this info yet this could be interesting.

We have two Honda Jazz's in the family and were notified they were affected earlier in the year. However when booking them in for service for later this month the dealer said still no indication of when parts may arrive. Our daughter drives one of them and isn't thrilled about the situation. Apparenty Takata is building a new factory to cope.

I did wonder if it might affect my car - built late 2004 but it's a 2005 model year car. I don't really fancy having the dealer rip it apart at this stage of its life.

My 2002 E46 was recalled by BMW for this issue last year and had its passenger front airbag replaced in January. No visible signs, apart from a cleaner edge to the top of the dash, which has now blended in with the rest.

I would much prefer to replace a potentially faulty airbag, especially as its at no cost.
