Airbag warning reset - Sheffield

Hi folks,

Good news - no more machine-gunning from the door lock
Bad news - airbag warning light now on

Anyone in the Sheffield area have a STARs code reader (or similar) who could reset an airbag warning?

I replaced the door lock the other week and disconnected the batter and the airbag but had to reconnect the battery to test the door lock which triggered the airbag warning.

Thanks for the thought, I've tried it but to no avail. I think this only works if you've do something to the steering wheel airbag...

The lock-to-lock trick resets only the ESP and related systems.

Once an SRS fault is logged, even if the fault is subsequently fixed, the system must be reset using STAR or a 3rd-party diagnostic tool that can access the SRS subsystem.

How long have you left the battery disconnected? - I did this by mistake when swapping my CLK dashboard over. after leaving it disconnected overnight the error had cleared over the weekend.

Otherwise, you dont need STAR to clear it, any decent garage with dianogstic software should be able to clear the fault codes for not too £££
