Hi all, have a w219, Aircon was regarded last year, the centre console and armrest bin are red hot, even when heat on cold, which it isn't now, the rear vents which have separate controls also red hot , do hot that phone was in arm rest and it over heated, feel like there must be a flap stuck open? All help appreciated

You can check the flap operations with an iCarsoft MBII or get it on STAR

I don't have any access, would have to try an auto sparkie, was only guessing at a flap, haven't a clue, was just thinking out loud really, will try sparkie thanks

Well have a look at Cool Drive at Shadwell, you need a specialist to look at your air con system and that company have good reviews,

Check your pressures. It's a sealed system. If you got it 're-gassed' it's because it has a leak.

Hi I got it regassed because I had to replace the condenser, hopefully there isn't a leak as well

Ah , right, is this an easy fix?
Found it in another forum and the description was same as mine , so thanks, I've ordered one and will fit next week
Thanks again 👍

Not so easy that you would do it at left hand... If I recall right, RHD cars brake unit (I assume yours is 2006+ ?) is close and there even less space than LHD car. Things are easier if you remove wiper mechanism first. Short circuited valve motor may rarely fry front SAM, there are somewhere instructions to check it. As replacing valve is not 5min job, I would test properly that valve is culprit anyway, SDS can control it, and then measure ohms according instructions.

Edit: ok, you already ordered spare part :)
