Airfryer

My late Mother used to do oven chips occasionally when we visited, we were not impressed and have never used them. Like Rorywquin "can't beat the real thing!", but the only deep fried things we do are hand cut chips and frozen onion rings - and they have to be battered not breaded or SWMBO moans! - and that's no more than once a week at most, so our existing, plus the still unboxed new one (about £35 at Lidl), will keep us going for years!

I’m up for that! I’ll bring the Lambrini
If you do, then I'll bring the Ferrari :D

I’m on my third Duronic one from amazon. About a year in the fan starts knocking when it gets really hot so I send it back for a replacement. They’ve never quibbled.
There’s no stirrer in this one and all the mucky bits go straight in the dishwasher. It’s good for anything frozen but takes a little longer for fresh stuff if it has a high water content.
It’s very convenient and easy to use and unlike a deep fat fryer you don’t need to stand watching it. I dare say a lot healthier too. I never pre spray the food in it.
Cons ? You’ve got to shake the basket if you want things crispy all round. It’s too convenient when I’m busy and encouarges me to cook “lazy” meals.
That said, would I go back to a deep fat fryer ? No, never.
