Hi all

Ok here goes
Every now and then I get in the car start it drive off and the back end drops to the bottom The wheel tucks into the wheel arch and the back is nearly touching the floor, I drive for about 5 to 10 mins and "stop car to low" comes up on dash and then the car rises again and everything is ok. The airmatic works perfect again all rises and lowers fine

The car has been in to garage and everything is fine on the star, and no leaks where found. Allso I can leave the car for days and it does not drop at all so there would seem there is no leaks.

It does not do it all the time but it does seem to be getting more frequent

Please any advise welcome
Thanks
Kristian

either rear airbag is leaking or the associated pipework is leaking, get it to a mb indi to run all the star tests and a proper check as this will burn your pump out.

Hi

It's been on star and all test worked fine
And no leak has been found all areas checked

uhmm, if its dropping its either leaking, or you might have a dodgy sensor on the rear.

When you say it drops, is this overnight or within minutes?

It's when I start the car it just slowly drops takes about a minute
It's only when I start up the car not all the time just every now and then

Hi, sounds like the rear height sensor (or associated wiring or plug!) giving a false reading so the car lowering, then when it gets a reading coming back up, im surprised STAR didnt have a fault code stored, it should have if you have a "car too low" message.

After it happens next get it back on STAR and get the guy to read the codes, there will be a fault stored for this.

Does this happen just after the car is washed ?

Do you use a pressure washer in your arches ?

It sounds like the problem is with the rear axel sensor . On the E theres one sensor for the rear axel , that assuming the S a system like the E . The sensor on the E connets to the anti roll bar
