Car
cls 320
Hi there, i have a 2008 cls320 with an airmatic malfunction. The car went completely down so that the arches were over the wheels. I went to my local indie who plugged his starr computer in, the only fault that showed was " strut implausable". He was able to drive each corner up and down using his computer, but still gives malfunction warning. He thinks that the control module is faulty. My question is this, has anyone ever replaced this module and if so did you get a second hand one. Also is there anyone in northern ireland who could reprogram this module. Thanks for any help.

Hi
Got similar issues
Got the symbol of the car with an arrow pointing up
I then got stop car too low so took it to local indie who plugged it in and done a recalibration nd car came back up but he could not clear car with arrow error
He said to take it home for a few days
Any how car has started to drop again in rear but won't go back up on controls will ate it back tomorrow but anybody with an possible answers feel free to comment
Peter

Could be a number of things. Needs the fault codes reading.

But could be the compressor as these are very common to failing

Do you know what the fault codes were last time

Hi
The car has brand new pump
The indie says that a sensor in the air resovoir is causing the problems
If I change both rear struts to arnotts will the error go ? As if I change then this sensor goes as well but will the error still show? Not sure if that reads correctly

Do you know what the actual fault code was.

Why would you want to replace both the rear struts if the fault doesnt point to these.

Hi I'm unsure of fault code
Reason for changing both rear struts is that you cannot just change the air resovoir so it's a case of either buying one mercedes strutt at approx 2 grand or replace both with the arnott struts at £550 a pair

Oh right i see what you mean now.

Shame you havent got the fault code that it was giving out.

Can the sensor not be got by itself.

apparently not,the indie was told that he must not touch this part as it has a very high psi and is dangerous,a bulletin came out from mercedes saying that, although mercedes swansea actaully removed this part and put it back on the car.my issue is if i change to arnott strutts this sensor is no longer used so will it still show as a fault on the car if its sitting on the bench.?
