Hi All
Having sorted the running problems with my E220 coupe (200 miles today) I now need help with the alarm/immobiliser.
Car is 1996 and I think it has a Scorpion system fitted in this country. It works with the infra-red remote. Problem is sometimes it flashes indicators once on locking thenon un-locking flashes twice and all is well, car starts.
Sometimes on locking ther is no flashing indicators and car is immobilised.
The immobiliser also sets 30 secs after turn engine off (indicators flash once to signify). The only way to start car after this is to get out, lock and un-lock car (if you're lucky).
The system seems to work most times if you set it on the boot sensor and un-lock on door.
Under the bonnet there is a box with small key switch and next to headlight leveller is a small black button. Sensors are fitted to screen pillars.
I have no manual for the system, I would like to disconnect the immobiliser function as it is a PIA to have to get out to re-start car.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
