if i was to try to find out if my car had been fitted with a new turbo would this be logged on its service or other history and whats the best way to find out do i just go to the dealers and ask for a print out of its history or any work they have carrid out over its life span???????

The dealer will have a record only if they have performed the work in question and they havn't been amalgamated into MB Direct.

Why do you think it should have or has had a turbo. Most diesels go to the grave with the turbo still spinning.

was cleaning engine bay and chatting to a mate he said it looked too new it just got me thinking, do they have the history at mb, it has been looked after by patons in cumbria mercedes benz dealer and full service history and i bought it of them,ill put a piccy in later

When car dealers clean a car for sale they use alloy cleaning acid to brighten the alloy in the engine bay. Things will literally look like new.

You could ask the dealer but I think you're wasting your time.
