Hi all,

I am coming back to this thread after a year and a half !!
Just to let you know that I managed to get Xentry installed in an old laptop (and DTS Monaco and Vediamo), and bought a cheap interface called OpenPort 2.0 and learned to use it, at least minimal actions.
All setup cost was £15

Below pic is showing the rear camera activation.
Now I will complete the camera/cabling installation itself, but at least I know I can make it working with no need to pay further "activation services".

BTW, Happy to help anyone interested.
Does it work on Xentry 2020?

HOW DO YOU STOP DATE GOING BACK TO YEAR 2000 EVERY TIME I SET THE DATE
PLEASE

Very odd this bug isn't showing up here - is this the same WNRO satellite event from April 2019 that breaks many devices, after the satellites all rolled back to year 0 and your car then was expecting 2019 (the older satellites run on a simple 19 years calendar) GPS week number rollover - Wikipedia

its screwed most Mercedes cars. A few later ones got an update, but most don't, on the w221 a guy hacked and made his own update as Mercedes didn't care... since that Mercedes adopted his hack as official fix for these ones.

You should all see it go silly during daylight saving changes. Check time and date - a work around on some is to disable the now invalid sat nav time and date info - but on a 221 that's not possible. Navigation works but time of arrival is muddled

hello my friends!

i have ntg2.5 in my w211 with harmann-kardon audio and i have few questions please..

1. my dvd changer does not work (won't take disc just buzzes), i don't use it but i think that it affects sd card (2gb with about 50 folders and 400 songs) playback, because every time i start the car it takes some time to start playing and it always plays the first song.. it does not remember playback ended.. and it also does not hold random song function activated, always disables it after start.. or is this normal?

2. my unit has number A2118709094.. i have an offer to buy fully functional unit number A2118705194.. is it possible to use it with harmann-kardon unit after coding or so? or those units are different?

thank everybody for answers!

Yuri, I don't think in normal use the memory card can be impacted by the cd changer. When its an external CD changer, its usually part of the fiber optic circuit and if it plays up the whole lot stops.

I think on the NTG2.5 its an internal cd changer ? if so, a lot around this time where cheap and nasty, they wear out jam up and stop functioning. If it was muddled and confusing the car with a disc part way to loading that might make it slow down till it re jams the disc in a position the rest of the unit can get over it. I'd probably pull the unit and remove any discs in there. And double check its fan whilst out.

Other than that, decent diagnostic tools can tell you whats happening and they can have loads of fault codes on the entertainment stuff - might as well well see what they are and get rid of them... Then I 'd probably remake the info of your music on a new card and see where you are

thank you very much for replying!

i'll definitely try diagnostics, good point there.. dvd changer is empty..

also now i read user's manual and it says that if you choose "random play" and change media, this setting will automatically be switched back to "normal play".. so i think that it includes also losing track position memory..

that leads me to that faulty dvd changer could be a source of misinformation for the unit so it thinks that some media was changed which leads to switch "random play" off to default "normal play" and track position loose..

but i don't know.. my unit has latest firmware and i don't plan to update maps or so, thus i don't need dvd changer.. could it be unplugged internally or so? so unit would act like it's not here and won't fault..

Hi all,

Needed the file "mnTGW001.s" which allows access to the Development data menu in the TGW3 control unit
