Shude,

I'm just glad to have my car back after two weeks of purgatory in a Mondeo. &nbsp;<img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wallbash.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':bash:'> &nbsp;<img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> &nbsp;<img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/banana.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':bannana:'>

I think I can manage a couple of weeks for my new pedals <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'> <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/colgate.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':colgate:'>

S.

p.s. Thanks again Shude and MBenzNL for the original BenzSport post.

Guy, I think you might have some trouble with the gas pedal, from what I've read it's not the same as the w202 pedals etc, but I could be wrong, got any pics?

Thanks for helping!   <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Here's a couple of rather rushed pics -

If its not the right pedal they must do one for the w203 . As ive said before , when you order the w203 sports coupe with the evo pack you get these pedals.

Might be worth being nice to the parts men and getting them to source the new pedals from that  <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/banana.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':bannana:'>  <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/banana.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':bannana:'>

Having said that , you could just take off the pedal you have just now and take the rubber off. Swap it for the new rubber with the alu front and rubber studs .... Worth a shot as the brake pedal looks the same.

certainly looks similar, I don't see the two tall plastic nuts used to hold it to the floor though... <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>

I have just thought, i haven't got my new lock barrel yet, is this because all the staff at MB UK are busy ordering brake pedals?<img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'> &nbsp;lol

MB seem to be having a real problem with parts at the moment.

Normally i see the local dealers (3 or 4 of them) order parts from me every fortnight or so. In the last week, they have ordered 12 or so parts, from headlamps for old SL's to rooflining's for 210 E-class's, what is mercedes coming to??

Maybe there parts will become cheaper &nbsp;<img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'> &nbsp;<img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/banana.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':bannana:'>

You sell these parts used, right? Or do you have a supply of new parts?

I did not know Mercedes would source a 2nd hand part, or do they pass them off as new? Surely not even the Stealers would stoop that low.

No, sorry, i should have made that clear...

If they cannot source a part in this country and the customer is in a hurry, they offer us to the cusatomer as an alternative, we can deliver parts/they collect within hours, whereas they will have to wait weeks if there is not one in the country.

We get used a lot by MB dealers for parts that MB do not make anymore, for old classics. But occasionaly we get used for 202's, 210's, even a 220 s-class.

Many times we can help with not just second-hand parts, but we also carry 10,000's of brand new genuine parts.

Not meaning to advertise, but we have a much bigger parts store for mercedes than anywhere else i have seen in the world... <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':0'>

Pedals finally arrived yesterday lunchtime, at long last. <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/slayer.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> I fitted them last night and the car looks brill, excellent value at £20 inc VAT for all 3 pedals. <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'> The accelerator was a bugger to remove but was replaced easy as pie whereas the brake pedal was easy to get off but a swine to replace, especially doing the job at 6pm on a winter's evening. <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/dontgetit.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':dontgetit:'> The parking brake being so small was quite easy.

I noted the old accelerator had a 129 reference number whereas the brake had a 124... interesting, kinda.

The gas pedal should be 129, brake pedal 123 (old school&#33<img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'> and park pedal 124.

The newer model avantgarde grills are cheaper, and they come with the frame already moulded to them...however they're cheapo rubbish chromated plastic now rather than the real deal on the w202!

Got mine also yesterday....well, three of the four anyway. I phoned the dealer who confirmed they were all in but when I came to collect them he only had three - he didnt have the parking brake one in yet! &nbsp;<img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

Anyway, the only trouble I had was the gas pedal which was completely different. I got round it by sliding the rubber off my existing one and replacing it with the rubber/alloy off the new one. A real tight fit which was a bit of a struggle to get on especially as I was doing it in the car park outside the dealer so I didnt have any soap or anything to act as a lubricant.

Cut my hands to ribbons in the process but I'm happy so far. Just waiting for the parking brake pedal now.

Now what was that I read somewhere about a similar looking footrest plate???

Apparently you should buy another gas pedal and cut the bottom off it to make a &quot;dead pedal&quot; or footrest! &nbsp;Cunning eh? &nbsp;Pity there is no room for a footrest on the gas pedal side though, where do you put your foot on long journeys with the cruise control on?

The one I am thinking of was a genuine MB part. I am guessing that it was the same slk model which had a footplate. I think there was an AMG one on the Benzsport pages under the same topic.

My current one is a solid plastic affair which is colour matched to the carpet.
